Используемая технология: технология развития критического мышления (ТРКМ). Методы обучения: объяснительно-иллюстративный; репродуктивный; метод проблемного изложения; частично-поисковый. Организационные формы урока: индивидуальная, групповая, фронтальная. Оснащение урока: -мультимедийный комплекс; -карточки с фрагментами текста; куплетами стихотворения; -карточки с заданиями по диалогам; -карточки с заданиями по личным письмам и листы для их записи; -листы для записи: синквейнов; -заготовки для заполнения: «фишбоунз»; -цветные стикеры: полоски для слов и квадратики для «Доски вопросов» -ватман для кластера, цветные фломастеры, маркеры. План урока:
Сценарий урока: Учитель: -Good morning, everybody! Glad to see you! How are you? What is the weather like in Saint-Petersburg today? And what is the weather like in the rest of the world, for example, America? Учащиеся: -Good morning, teacher! We are glad to see you too! We are fine, thanks! And you?... –The weather is sunny and frosty in SPb! And why America?... Слайд 1.Учитель: I’ve got a presentation for you but it doesn’t have a name. You will have to guess it a few minutes later! Учащиеся заинтригованы,но у кого-то уже есть идеи. Слайд 2. Учитель: What do you see on the slyde? Учащиеся: - An island, a continent, a country … Учитель: And what country is it? What do the pictures mean? Учащиеся: …-It is Africa! –No, it’s America! –It’s the USA! -It’s an eagle! –It’s the Statue of Liberty! –The American presidents! Учитель: -Well, what do you think the topic of the lesson is? And what are we going to do at the lesson today? Учащиеся: -America! -The USA! –We are going to speak about the USA! Учитель: Thank you, everybody! Well done! Слайд 3. Учитель: Now I would like you to watch a video[2] on the Internet and answer the question after that… Is it a usual video? Why? Who was the video made by? Учащиеся: -A tourist! –ABC TV company! etc. Учитель: -Thank you for your ideas! Actually, the video was made by the 3rd grade pupil who took part in a contest and won the first prize! Учащиеся: -Great!! It can’t be so! –What a cute guy! Учитель: And now let’s divide into groups. All the groups have their own topics-names. You are to brainstorm the words on your topics. Write the words which you associate with the key topic “ America, the USA” and your group topic word on the pieces of paper (the stickers). Write as many words as you remember! You have 1minute… Stop!!! The time is over! And now, the group leaders, stick your words on the big poster, please! ….. Do you like it? Me, too! Thank you, it’s great! (Далее другие представители групп подходят к большому кластеру, вслух читают слова и исправляют ошибки, если необходимо. Также, если слово сомнительно, его перемещают.) Учитель. Слайд 3,4,5 Next thing we are to do is a quick Revision Quiz. Look at the screen and find the answers to the questions, write the numbers and the letters on the sheets of paper. …And now, please, I would like the groups to exchange the papers and check them. OK! Which group has no mistakes? You get the highest points! ( Учащиеся обменялись бумагами с ответами, озвучили ответы вслух, проверили, выставили баллы). Слайд 6. Учитель: I would like to give you the key facts on the topic. Look at the screen! Учащиеся: Читают вслух информацию со слайда и задают вопросы, высказывают свое мнение. Учитель: Now, each group has an envelope. There are special tasks in the envelopes. Open them, please! The tasks are: -A part of the text -A dialogue card -A letter card -A poem card -A “fishbone” paper. In your groups you are to decide who does each task. You need: one pupil for the text, two pupils for the dialogue, one pupil for the poem, one pupil for the letter. -You are to start. Please, be friendly, positive and don’t forget to help each other! ( У учащихся10 минут на выполнение этого задания). Учитель: The pupils who work with the text, you have 5 minutes to read and understand it. Next the representatives of the groups are to join in another group and explain the text to each other. Then you return to your groups and give the information. Учитель: (After 10 min.) Now the leaders of the groups read the whole text loudly and the other pupils listen to them and read the text on the screen.(3 min) Слайд 7. -Now, let’s listen to the dialogues. (10 min.) Учащиеся вслух рассказывают свои диалоги для всего класса. -Next we have a poem to recite[4]. Слайд 8. It has been divided into 5 pieces and you are to join them into a whole poem. That proves that together we are strong. (Учащиеся отвечают стихотворение по куплетам – 5 мин.) Учитель: Great! You sounded patriotic! What is the main idea of the poem? Учащиеся: …-Home! -A homeland! –Independence of life in America! etc. Учитель: Let’s collect the letters. Great! I’ll check them while you are doing the next task. Учитель просит достать из конвертов “fishbones” и задает вопросы. Учитель: What is it? – A fishbone! – And what is a fishbone? Give me your ideas! -Учащиеся высказывают свои мысли. Учитель: And what is a cinquain? –Учащиеся вспоминают и отвечают. Учитель: OK! Right! Thank you! Let’s complete the “fishbones” and make up the cinquains in groups. The main word is” the USA” or “America”. (2 группы составляют “fishbones” и 3 группы – синквейны)(5 мин). Подведение итогов.(7 мин.) Учитель: Now I would like you to write the questions on the stickers: What would you like to learn about America or the USA? We are going to have a Question Board! Учащиеся пишут по одному вопросу на цветных квадратных стикерах и приклеивают свои стикеры на Доску вопросов. Некоторые пишут по два и три вопроса! (Приложение 9) Учитель: Слайд 10. Look at the screen and continue the sentences, please!.. Учащиеся смотрят на экран, выбирают пронравившееся предложение и озвучивают его… -Thank you! It was surprising! And now, tell me, please, what have you done at the lesson today? What have you learnt? What was difficult? How do you feel? –Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы, высказывают своё мнение об уроке. Учитель: Thank you, everybody! You worked actively and friendly and have achieved a lot! Group No2 is the best today. It has scored the highest points! Congratulations! Your marks for the lesson are… And the last point! Listen to the USA hymn.Слайд 11. Try to guess, who is singing (Elvis Presley). Enjoy yourselves! Thank you for the lesson! Итоги урока: Цель урока достигнута. Учащиеся активно говорили , написали личное письмо, синквейны. Педагогические задачи решены полностью, ожидаемые результаты получены. Примечание. Данный урок проводился в классе, состоявшем из 25 учащихся. Поэтому предоставилась возможность максимально работать в группах и использовать большое количество заданий. Если учащихся меньше, то и количество заданий можно сократить, не ломая при этом основную схему урока. Список источников:

Слайд 7 1) Country and PEOPLE The USA consists of 50 states and the District of Columbia which is home to the capital of the country – Washington D.C. Two states – Alaska and Hawaii – are separated from the mainland. The total area of the USA is around 9 mln square kilometers. More than 300 million people live in this country. Their national language is English, although a large part of current American residents are immigrants who speak their native languages. 2) Territory The United States of America is the fourth largest country in the world after Russia, Canada and China. It is situated in North America and is bordered with Canada and Mexico. The territory of the USA is crossed by the Mississippi river which is the longest in the world. 5 Great lakes in the north of the country on the border with Canada are a popular tourist attraction. Western part of the country is bound by the Rocky Mountains or the Rockies. Central states are situated on the Great Plains. 3) Climate Due to the fact, that the territory of the USA spreads from the Atlantic to the Pacific ocean, the climate of the country varies greatly depending on the geographical position. Moreover, winter temperatures in northern states may reach 40 degrees below zero. At the same time summer temperatures in southern states may increase up to 49 degrees above zero. A wide variety of landscape and climatic zones has determined the country’s industry and agriculture. In the USA farming is devoted to raising such plants as corn, sunflowers, tomatoes and many others. The major industrial fields are automobiles, oil and gas extraction and sustainable energy. 4) POLITICS The United States of America is a democratic country with two ruling parties – the Democrats and the Republicans. Both parties propose a candidate for presidency. A president is elected once in four years and can serve no more than two terms. The highest legislative body of the country is the Congress which consists of two chambers – the House of Representatives and the Senate. The main law of the country is the Constitution. Americans are very proud of it. 5) CITIES If you travel to the USA, it’s worth visiting the following places: Washington D.C., Boston, New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. These cities present a wide range of attractions and entertainment, such as Hollywood, the Wall Street, the Statue of Liberty, the Library of Congress, the White House and many others. Приложение 3.
